Calzones
To my delight, I found frozen pizza dough at the grocery store last week. (Amazing - the store had 12 kinds of curry paste, but no frozen pizza dough!) To celebrate, I made calzones.I thawed the dough according to package directions (i.e., overnight in the fridge). While it was resting outside of the fridge, I sauteed together onions, spinach, mushrooms, and red pepper. I flattened the dough and shoved that mixture in, along with black olives and mozarella and feta cheese. After pinching the edges and about 25 minutes in a 350 degree oven, they were perfectly cooked. I served them with some pizza sauce.
You can, of course, add whatever fillings you like. (I'd love to hear your combinations.)
